Emergency Paediatric First Aid – 1 day

This 1-day course is designed to give you the essential life-saving skills for children and infants in your care. It is well suited to parents, nannies, au pairs or baby sitters.

This course is not suitable for current Ofsted or EYFS requirements which both require the 2-day, 12- hour Paediatric First Aid course. This content of this Emergency course is covered on the first day of the 2-day Paediatric course. This qualification will allow an individual to take on the role of a first aider in a position that has a responsibility of caring for infants and children. It may also have been identified as necessary to hold by way of a workplace risk assessment.

Paediatric First Aid – 2 days

This 2-day course is designed for workers caring for children and infants in the absence of their parents e.g. child minders, nursery or pre-school staff. The qualification meets current Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements for those working in early years settings.

Currently the EYFS statutory framework requires at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate to be on the premises or on outings at all times when children are present. This qualification is designed to provide essential paediatric life-saving and incident management skills.
