Course Overview:
Guaranteed to be practical and active in nature this course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to deal with many common workplace incidents and the treatment of illnesses and injuries. This course is designed to provide essential life saving skills.
This 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) first aid course meets the statutory requirements set by the HSE for first aid provision in small to medium sized low risk environments and workplaces such as shops or offices. The course content and duration is set by the HSE with candidates required to attend the course for a minimum of 6 hours in order to meet these requirements.
By constantly reinforcing basic principles and procedures and building on these throughout the day candidates will learn a systematic approach to first aid that can be applied to any given situation. There is no final exam and candidates are assessed continuously throughout the course by way of practical demonstrations.
Our courses are delivered in a fun and relaxed manner using incident based scenarios appropriate to the context of the course and the groups working environment. The training methods and techniques used on our courses are specifically designed to make first aiders more confident when dealing with real life incidents.
