First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) – 2 days (12 Hours) – Level 3 (RQF)
Course Overview:
This 2-day requalification course is available to anyone wishing to re-validate a previously completed 18-hour, 3 day First Aid at Work course for which their certificate has not expired by more than 30 days.
This course comprises all contents of the 3-day First Aid at Work course but is condensed into a 2-day, 12-hour course.
This requalification course acts as a useful refresher in order to review and practise previously learnt skills. It also provides a useful opportunity to gain awareness of any updates to first aid regulations, techniques and guidelines that may have been made during the past 3 year period of the previous certificates lifetime.
Our courses are delivered in a fun and relaxed manner using incident based scenarios appropriate to the context of the course and the groups working environment. The training methods and techniques used on our courses are specifically designed to make first aiders more confident when dealing with real life incidents.
By constantly reinforcing basic principles and procedures and building on these throughout the day candidates will learn a systematic approach to first aid that can be applied to any given situation. There is no final exam and candidates are assessed continuously throughout the course by way of practical demonstrations.
Due to the rise in awareness of defibrillators (AED’s) this course includes full defibrillator training in accordance with the current UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.
