Course Overview:
This 3-day course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to enable you to deal with many common workplace incidents and the treatment of illnesses and injuries. In addition to providing essential life saving skills you will also develop a greater understanding in dealing with a variety of illnesses and medical conditions.
This 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course meets the statutory requirements set by the HSE for first aid provision in large sized and higher risk environments and workplaces such as factories, construction sites or for business’s with more than 50 employees. The course content and duration is set by the HSE with candidates required to attend the course for a minimum of 18 hours in order to meet these requirements.
By constantly reinforcing basic principles and procedures and building on these throughout the 3 days, candidates will learn a systematic approach to first aid that can be applied to any given situation. There is no final exam or end of course assessment as candidates are assessed continuously throughout the course by way of practical demonstrations.
Our courses are delivered in a fun and relaxed manner using incident based scenarios appropriate to the context of the course and the groups working environment. The training methods and techniques used on our courses are specifically designed to make first aiders more confident when dealing with real life incidents.
